REPORT: Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel Becomes An Informant! [KingpinTV.net]

Vybz Kartel told the police the whereabouts of several wanted men in Portmore, St Catherine and provided the authorities with information that led to the recovery of 17 illegal firearms, a highly-placed police source has disclosed.

The move by the embattled entertainer was part of an effort to gain his freedom, or at least a vastly reduced prison sentence, the police said.

The startling revelation came to light during a Jamaica Observer interview with a member of the constabulary’s top brass late last week.

“He wanted to meet with the commissioner who assigned a member of the high command to meet him. During the meeting he offered information on wanted men in Portmore and also coughed up a number of illegal firearms. He was trying to broker a deal to get the charges dropped,” the source said.

The police said several wanted men were subsequently nabbed.

Kartel along with André St John, Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell and Kahira Jones were all found guilty and slapped with life sentences for the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams, who police say was bludgeoned to death at a house in Havendale, St Andrew, on August 16, 2011.

The men will have to serve 35, 30, and 25 years respectively if the Appellate Court throws out their appeals, which will likely be heard in a minimum three years from now, based upon the pace at which such appeals are dealt with.

According to the police source, the artist made the offer when he realized that the walls were closing in on him, after homicide investigators were sealing up their probe into Williams’ murder.

The police also said that Kartel and a funeral director also met with a top-ranking cop after a probe was launched into whether or not Williams’ remains were cremated.

Police are also probing the disappearance of funeral home operator Jennifer Edwards, who went missing in January.

The police said evidence was suggesting that Edwards was killed and her body disposed of as she had knowledge of sinister dealings relating to Williams’ body.

“We believe she was killed because she was the weak link and she knew too much, but we are still investigating,” the source said.

Last Wednesday, Police Commissioner Owen Ellington drew the ire of defence attorney Tom Tavares-Finson when he declared that Kartel (real name Adidja Palmer) was the boss of a criminal outfit that was responsible for more than 100 murders.

Tavares-Finson could not be reached for comment on the latest allegation as the Sunday Observer prepared for a press deadline.

The Sunday Observer source went even further and named a well-known gang based in several Spanish Town communities, as the gang that the commissioner was referring to.

“He was very influential in the Klansman gang. That gang used to carry out his killings for him until his Gaza Empire started doing the murders themselves. We have footage of him and a leading Klansman member bragging about the best places to kill people, whether in the church or other places. That Klansman was heard bragging that he shot eight people in a church already,” the source said.

The Sunday Observer has also been informed that the police have in their possession additional footage of the video that was shown in court where men were overheard planning murder.

The footage, the source said, showed a headless body, believed to be that of Williams, lying on the floor.

It was not clear why that was not entered into evidence during the recently concluded trial.

Shawn Campbell, another police source said, may have been a victim of loyalty to the ‘Worl’ Boss’ as he now faces the possibility of serving a 25-year sentence after refusing a deal to plead guilty to accessory before or after the fact and serve a

three-year sentence.

The police said that Campbell may not have known that Williams and the prosecution star witness Lamar Chow were earmarked for death when he accompanied them in a taxi driven by a man known only as ‘Need For Speed’, to the ill-fated house.

“We have information that he was under the impression that the men would be beaten for their carelessness in the disappearance of the two guns. When he arrived, we heard he was surprised to see so many strange men, who we believe to be members of the Klansman gang, and that is why him tek weh himself.

“We know that it is only after the voice notes were revealed that he became aware that he, too, could have been harmed over the guns. Maybe he would have acted differently if he had heard some of the things that came out in court,” the source said.

All four convicts are now being housed in a maximum security section of the New Horizon Adult Remand Centre on Spanish Town Road in Kingston where high-risk inmates are kept at the State’s pleasure.

REPORT: Al Sharpton Was An FBI Informant On The Mob! [KingpinTV.net]

The Rev. Al Sharpton has served as an outspoken civil rights activist, presidential nominee, television host, and, if a new report is to be believed, a key informant to the FBI.

According to a lengthy report by website The Smoking Gun, Sharpton, 69, served as “Confidential Informant No. 7″ in the 1980s, playing a prominent role collecting information on New York City’s most prolific mobsters. Sharpton has denied the claims.

In a Tuesday morning press conference, Sharpton said that he wasn’t an informant but rather he was merely cooperating with the FBI. “I’m not a rat, I’m a cat,” Sharpton reportedly said, according to journalists live-tweeting the event. He continued that the only thing he was ashamed of were “those old fat pictures” that have been shown in conjunction with the reports.

The Smoking Gun’s report — based on interviews, court records, and hundreds of pages of documents obtained as the result of requests invoking Freedom of Information Act — claims that Sharpton worked for a joint FBI/NYPD crime task force that was primarily pursuing the notorious Genovese crime family. Sharpton allegedly was sent out to talk to mobsters with a bugged briefcase. The website said that information he obtained led to the bugging of two Genovese family social clubs, three cars and a dozen phone lines approved by eight different federal judges.

During Tuesday’s press conference, he admitted with working with the FBI for two years and wearing a wire to record conversations. “The conversations were recorded, and I would record them today,” he said. “We are victims trying to stop something.”

In a previous interview, Sharpton told the New York Times, “Most of what I’ve looked through [on The Smoking Gun] does not remind me of anything I was involved in.” The site says that Sharpton denied its claims in an interview, particularly ones stating that he was “flipped” after a drug deal. “The claim is I helped get the mob, not that I was in the mob,” Sharpton said. “I was never told I was an informant.”

It has long been known that Sharpton worked with the FBI in the 1980s to assist in an investigation against boxing promoter Don King. He told the New York Daily News that he contacted authorities after Gambino family member Joseph Buonanno and others sent him death threats for trying to help African-Americans succeed on the business side of the music industry. “If you’re a victim of a threat, you’re not an informant — you’re a victim trying to protect yourself,” he said. “I encourage kids all the time to work with law enforcement, you’re acting like it’s a scandal for me to do that?”

BREAKING NEWS: Jonas Valanciunas Charged with Drunk Driving! [KingpinTV.net]

This sucks man. It’s not something I associate with Jonas, but we all have our crosses to bear and having a drink and going for a drive is apparently his.

This happened in Wasaga beach apparently, which is not surprising. Young Zarar has taken a few trips to Wasaga beach during his youth and I can attest that such behaviour is rather endemic around those parts. It’s something to do with the water, sun, scantly clad women, lack of police enforcement, private “picnic” areas, shady groves, and most of all, very readily available alcohol and other substances. Then again, all that doesn’t start till after May 24 weekend, so I’m not sure what Jonas is even doing there in April in a rainstorm. But hey, if he likes ice fishing when others are rolling in Vegas, then I’m not really surprised by this.
RR firmly stands behind Jonas in this tough time. We’re like the wife of the senator as he delivers his apology press conference after sending out pictures of his junk to random strangers. Yes, we’re almost like that wife, almost. She’s strong, supportive and most of all judgemental. RR is not judgemental. That is something we are not.

I’ll be curious to see if the team suspends him for such behaviour (they should), even though it might put our 50-win target and playoff positioning at risk.

Come back strong big fella.

NEWS: Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel Receives Life Sentence! [KingpinTV.net]

A undeniable, yet divisive, talent, Vybz Kartel has entered into a career phase his seemingly invincible ego, as the self-designated as the World Boss, might have never envisioned: a life sentence, handed down today by Justice Lennox Campbell in Jamaica’s Supreme Court. Several roads were closed within the vicinity of the downtown Kingston courthouse in anticipation of today’s sentencing, which was originally scheduled for March 27th.

Kartel will not be eligible for parole until he serves 35 years of his life sentence, while Shawn Campbell and Kahira Jones will be eligible for parole after serving 25 years of their life sentences; Andre St. John will be eligible for parole after serving 15 years of his life sentence.

On March 13th, Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, was found guilty of the August 16, 2011 murder of his former associate Clive “Lizard” Williams, the outcome of a 58-day trial, which commenced on November 18th, 2013 — said to be the longest in the history of Jamaica’s Circuit court. Guilty verdicts were also handed to Shawn Campbell (dancehall artist Shawn Storm), Kahira Jones and Andre St. John, who each received life sentences today. The fourth co-accused, Shane Williams, received the jury’s sole not guilty decision. Minutes after the verdicts were announced, juror Livingston Cain was charged with bribing the jury foreman to influence a not guilty verdict; Shane Williams is now charged in another murder case.

Palmer’s lawyers will appeal today’s conviction, a process expected to take between 6-12 months, said Christian Tavares-Finson, who along with his father Tom Tavares-Finson have represented the embattled dancehall artist since the trial started. The defense maintains the prosecution presented evidence that had been fabricated and otherwise manipulated including text messages reportedly sent from Palmer’s phone, after it was confiscated, allegedly boasting of the butchering of Williams’ body, which has never been found.

In August, Palmer will face charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice as related to the Williams murder case; police reported that Kartel’s protégé, singer Vanessa Saddler, a.k.a Gaza Slim, and an associate, Andre Henry, went to a Kingston precinct where Saddler filed a statement claiming she had been robbed at knifepoint by Williams five days after Palmer was charged with his murder. According to police, evidence exists, including phone records, indicating that Palmer instructed Saddler to report the robbery.

“Jamaica feels this because Vybz Kartel has contributed a lot to reggae, no matter what anyone says, and we will support him in any way that we can,” says Tad Dawkins, founder of the Kingston/Miami based reggae independent Tad’s Records who have released three albums by Kartel, including his 2013 set, “Kartel Forever Trilogy,” which reached no. 11 on the Reggae Album chart.

Vybz Kartel’s conviction/sentencing is the dishonorable cap to a career strategically propelled by controversy, from the graphic sexuality on songs like “Tek Buddy” to the gruesome thug exploits recounted in “Real Bad Man,” a grizzly parallel to the alleged events that brought his judgment (“mi lass (cutlass) dem fi choppin’/mi trick him, mi trap him, di rifle dem whop him”), to the years of traded song disses between The World Boss representing his Gaza consortium of artists/supporters and dancehall artist Mavado’s Gullyside crew. The artists’ lyrical salvos were sometimes taken literally by fans with numerous fights, in defense of their preferred artist, taking place at dancehall sessions, even in schoolyards, before peace was declared in late 2009. Prior to his murder conviction, Kartel’s most debated action was the lightening of his skin from its natural chocolate brown to pasty beige to better display his multiple tattoos.

Each contentious step resulted in greater media attention, something Kartel skillfully manipulated yet proudly mocked, as he told Billboard.biz in a December 2009 interview at his Kingston Gaza studio. “I am amazed at how stupid the media can be because there are so many serious issues in Jamaica. The governor of the Bank of Jamaica is in a big scandal over money. The price of flour raise, sugar raise but everybody is on this Gully/Gaza thing, it is like a ploy to take the people’s minds off the real issues and the media is just playing along because they are simple-minded. I know how to control them and I always do.”

Kartel’s clever, often contested lyrics brought him numerous hits while his entrepreneurial savvy transformed his controversial actions into several successful products branded under his Gaza Empire. For example, prior to admitting to skin bleaching he referenced the practice in his hit singles “Straight Jeans and Fitted”, followed by “Cake Soap” then created a line of Vybz Kartel Cake Soap, generating further outrage and publicity. Whether or not Vybz’s Cake Soap actually lightened skin as he claimed, and despite the self-loathing many associate with the procedure, Vybz’s Cake Soap sold out of its initial shipment of 2,000 units in Jamaica in May 2011, without an island-wide distribution network.

Kartel’s Gaza Empire also included Daggering Condoms, the Vybz Wear line of tees, belt buckles and dog tags, and Addi’s shoes, the latter inspired by his massive 2010 single “Clarks” (featuring his Gaza Empire artists Popcaan and Gaza Slim) which prompted a surge in the price and sales of the venerable English shoe brand in Jamaica.

Despite the variety within his abundant repertoire, it’s the Kartel songs that are the aural equivalent of porn or blood splattered gangster films that have brought his farthest-reaching celebrity. Some contend his scatological verse brought the dancehall genre to an unprecedented low, an argument that surrounded dancehall superstars Yellowman and Shabba Ranks, in their respective ‘80s and ‘90s heydays. Yet both artists are now hailed as genre standard bearers. Time will tell if Kartel’s provocative brand merely pushes the envelope in more permissive times, as reflected in movies, television and other musical genres, or if he is truly an aberrant, corrupting force among a predominantly young fan base.

Justice Campbell is weighing the option of allowing Kartel to record in prison after determining if he can be transferred from the New Horizon Remand Center, where he has spent almost three years awaiting the conclusion of his murder trials, to the Tower St. Correction Center, which is outfitted with a recording studio. The judge must also ascertain whether proceeds from such recordings can be awarded to the family of Clive “Lizard” Williams.

Whether or not Kartel records new material, the strategized controversies that elevated his career trajectory are now beyond his control.

“Kartel entered the game as one of its most compelling stars and stayed that way; the impact of his conviction/sentencing will be measured over time but he changed Jamaican music,” comments Pat McKay, Director of Programming, Sirius XM, The Joint/ Kirk Franklin’s Praise (Reggae and Gospel). “How it is changed,” she says, “is on the shoulders of current music makers.”

NEWS/VIDEO: Vybz Kartel Found Guilty Of Murder, Busta Rhymes Attends Sentencing! [KingpinTV.net]

Dancehall and reggae star Vybz Kartel has been convicted of murder. In a high-profile trial under heavy security, Kartel and three co-defendants were found guilty of killing an associate, Clive Lizard Williams, in a row over a missing gun. One defendant was cleared of wrongdoing.

On Thursday, Jamaican police in riot gear guarded streets outside, and parts of the capital Kingston were cordoned off in advance of the verdict to prevent any disruption by fans of the entertainer. However, shortly before the jury started to deliberate in the afternoon, about 200 people briefly broke through barricades at one intersection shouting “Free Kartel!”

Prosecutors alleged Williams was beaten to death at the reggae performer’s home in August 2011 after being lured there to answer for two missing illegal guns. His body has never been found. Police testified they retrieved a text message from Kartel’s phone saying Williams was chopped up in a “mincemeat” so fine that his remains would never be found. Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, has been in jail for about three years since his arrest in connection with the case.

Defence lawyer Tom Tavares-Finson had told jurors that the prosecution’s case against Kartel was “dishonest” and “incompetent”, noting that witness statements and a compact disc with evidence saved on it somehow went missing. After the verdict, he said he was planning to appeal on behalf of the convicted men.

Last year, another murder case against Kartel and two other co-defendants collapsed after prosecutors failed to produce evidence to support allegations that the trio killed businessman Barrington “Bossy” Burton in 2011.

In addition to the conviction, a male juror was arrested last Thursday evening on charges of attempting to bribe the jury foreman in an attempt to influence the panel to free Kartel. Authorities confirmed the arrest but gave no further details.

According to local media, the 65-day trial was the longest running criminal hearing in the history of Jamaica’s circuit court system. Kartel will be sentenced in court on 27 March.

Kartel’s songs are played widely in Jamaica, and many young people, especially those in blighted slums, consider him a hero of sorts.

NEWS: Drake & Rihanna Are Spending A Lot Of Time Together In Europe! [KingpinTV.net]

They’ve rarely left each others’ sides in recent weeks, and have been partying it up together in London, Amsterdam and Paris over the past few days alone.

And rumoured lovebirds Rihanna and Drake continued their string of date nights as they hit a Manchester bowling alley until the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Once inside, London’s exclusive Cirque Le Soir nightclub, the pair enjoyed a special preview of a new performance for the debauched club’s new £500,000 Frat Party installation ahead of its 4th birthday celebration next week.

After partying up a storm, the on-off couple headed up north to All Star Lanes, where they enjoyed a fun-filled evening out after Drake’s performance at the city’s Phones4U Arena on Tuesday night.

The pair were spotted leaving the venue at 4.30am alongside numerous members of their respective entourages, but once again, made sure they weren’t photographed together as they headed home for the evening.

Drake has also recently been seen with his former flame at Soixante Dix Neuf nightclub in Paris, Hooray Henry’s in West Hollywood, Nobu restaurant in London, and Izakaya in Amsterdam.

Last month, the Hold On hitmaker – born Aubrey Graham – invited Rihanna onstage the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy.

Riri and Drizzy – who dated in 2010 – performed her track Pour It Up, as well as their flirty 2011 duet Take Care, in front of 17,000 screaming fans.

NEWS: Karrueche Tran Dumped Chris Brown! [KingpinTV.net]

Rihanna secretly visited her troubled ex-boyfriend Chris Brown during his recent stint in a Malibu rehab — causing his on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran to blow her stack.

A source tells Confidenti@l that in late January, Rihanna flew on a private plane to visit Brown at the Malibu rehab center where he is serving a court-ordered stint in an anger management and drug recovery program. Brown entered the program in early November and was slapped with an additional two months by a judge in late February.

Internet rumors had placed RiRi at Brown’s center in early December, but we’re told that was nonsense. In January, our source says, she actually did arrive at the center, spent a few hours with Brown and then jetted out quickly, with only a few staffers knowing.

When she learned of the visit, Brown’s other woman, Tran, dumped him, says our source.

Brown was recently slapped with a further two months in rehab.

“With Chris in rehab, [he] and Karrueche spoke every day and she stood by his side. She took a vacation to Turks and Caicos and told friends the entire time that they were really good and happy together,” our source explains. “She trusts Chris, but when it comes to Rihanna, she has a zero-tolerance policy. Then she found out about the trip.”

Our insider says the back and forth between Tran and Rihanna over Brown has caused Karrueche to despise Rihanna. When she learned Rihanna had visited Chris, he at first denied it.

“She believed him, but he finally admitted that Rihanna had come to see him. She put her foot down and cut him off completely,” says our source.

Tran recently tweeted: “Not dating anyone stop w the bs.”

To try to put Brown out of mind, Tran has been hotel-hopping in New York and Miami for two months, with only a short work trip in Los Angeles to model.

NEWS: 50 Cent And Steve Stoute Beef At A Knicks Game! [KingpinTV.net]

50 cent had a bone to pick with Steve Stoute, and lets just say he did that at the Knicks game this past weekend. Stoute is on a promo run for his documentary ‘Tanning of America’ which revolves around music, influence, hip hop history in more.

The beef started when Stoute came up to Angie’s show and ran down a list of who he considered to be the “most influential” artist of our time. When it came to 50 he said, “[50 Cent] hasn’t had a hit in a really long time. He has not made anything musically that has changed anything in a very really long time. I feel like he’s always gearing up for something that never happens.” Yikes!

50 clearly didn’t appreciate the negative commentary, so when he saw Stoute courtside at the Knicks game this past weekend he had words for Stoute. If you saw the pictures of the two at the game, then you know it looked serious. We wonder if they came to a resolution. We’re sure we will hear more about it sooner than later.

NEWS: Nets’ Coach Jason Kidd Played Against Deron Williams In Practice! [KingpinTV.net]

In 19 seasons in the NBA, Jason Kidd was one of the best point guards we’ve ever seen. The sure-fire Hall of Famer was a lethal force on both ends of the floor in his prime and even in his final seasons, he was able to help the Dallas Mavericks win a ring and the New York Knicks enjoy their best season in more than a decade. Now that he’s the coach of the Brooklyn Nets, Kidd doesn’t have many opportunities to get those competitive juices flowing on the court.

Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News tells us that in a recent practice, Kidd laced up the sneakers and had a “spirited exchange” by going head-to-head with Nets’ point guard Deron Williams. Perhaps it was just a way to see if Kidd still had it or maybe it was a way of teaching Williams a few things on the court in real-time.

Don’t let the tight suit fool you: Jason Kidd can still ball and still has those juices flowing.

During another disappointing and injury-riddled season for Deron Williams, Kidd stepped on the court and went head-to-head with the point guard in a spirited exchange at a recent practice, a source told the Daily News.

That’s one way to get through to the underachieving star: challenge him with Hall of Fame skills.

There are two ways of taking this story. One way is that it’s great Kidd is able to use those “Hall of Fame skills” to give Williams some elite knowledge of the game in a practice situation. That kind of learning can be invaluable and it may help Williams get his season back on track in a hurry. The other way of taking that is you have to be a little concerned that there was a “spirited exchange” between your 40-year old coach and a 29-year old franchise point guard who is still owed over $60 million through the 2015-16 season.

Granted, that’s due to Williams’ ankle troubles and there is little doubt he’d return to being an elite point guard worthy of the five-year, $98 million deal he signed with the Nets in 2012. But it can’t be an easy feeling to know your coach can challenge your franchise player and have it be described as “spirited.” Williams has struggled with his ankles and his game since coming to the Nets in a 2011 trade but did enjoy an All-Star season in 2011-12.

NEWS: Darren Sharper Charged With Drugging & Raping Two Women! [KingpinTV.net]

Former NFL star Darren Sharper was charged in California on Friday in the alleged drugging and rape of two women, one in October and the other last month, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said.

The five-time Pro Bowl player who became an NFL Network analyst is charged with two counts of rape by use of drugs, four counts of furnishing a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance, all felonies, the prosecutor’s office said.

Sharper, 38, who played defensive back for the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints during his 14-year career, appeared Friday in a Los Angeles County court, but his arraignment was postponed until Thursday, said spokesman Ricardo Santiago of the district attorney’s office.

Sharper was arrested January 17 and released on $200,000 bail, but prosecutors will seek next Thursday to raise his bail to $10 million, Santiago said.

The alleged controlled substances were morphine and zolpidem, another name for the prescription sleep aid Ambien.

On October 30, Sharper met two women at a West Hollywood nightclub — Bootsy Bellows on the Sunset Strip — and invited them to a party, authorities allege.

Sharper, who lives in Miami Beach, Florida, allegedly told them he had to stop by his Los Angeles hotel room to pick up something, and he invited them to the room. While there, he allegedly gave each woman a drink in the form of shot, and the women then passed out, prosecutors said.

The first woman woke up naked hours later as Sharper allegedly was sexually assaulting her, prosecutors said. The other woman awakened and “interrupted his actions,” according to court papers cited by prosecutors.

The two women gathered their belongings and left the hotel, authorities said.

On January 14, Sharper met two women at the same West Hollywood nightclub and also invited them to a party, prosecutors said.

A similar series of events allegedly unfolded: Sharper made a stop by his hotel room, invited the women in and allegedly offer them a shot, which caused them to pass out, prosecutors said.

When they woke up hours later on January 15, one woman believed she was sexually assaulted, and both women left the hotel and sought medical treatment, prosecutors said.

If convicted of the Los Angeles County charges, Sharper would face more than 30 years in state prison, prosecutors said.

A Los Angeles attorney representing Sharper told CNN on Friday that she was looking forward to “the true facts in this matter being revealed.

“And we are very hopeful that at the end of day that Mr. Sharper will be fully exonerated,” added attorney Blair Berk.

Los Angeles County prosecutors allege in court papers that Sharper also is suspected of rape in Tempe, Arizona; Las Vegas, Nevada; and New Orleans, Louisiana.

“I believe that the defendant is involved in seven acts of rape and eleven acts of furnishing a controlled substance” in those three communities and the Los Angeles area between last September and January, Los Angeles police investigator John Macchiarella stated in papers requesting an increase in Sharper’s bail to $10 million.

In Nevada, Sharper is a suspect in an ongoing rape investigation, Las Vegas police Officer Jose Hernandez told CNN.

“We do have an active and ongoing investigation and at the conclusion of this investigation, it will be submitted to the DA’s office for consideration of charges,” Hernandez said. He didn’t elaborate.

Macchiarella said in court papers that Sharper allegedly invited to his Las Vegas hotel room two women and a man he met in a Las Vegas nightclub. The three guests “blacked out” after Sharper allegedly served them shots, Macchiarella wrote.

One woman claimed she found injuries to her face when she woke up and alleged Sharper served her another unknown beverage and “the next thing she remembered was defendant Sharper sexually assaulting her,” Macchiarella stated in court papers.

The other woman awoke and believed she had been sexually assaulted, wrote Macchiarella, who reviewed the Nevada police reports.

The man awoke sitting alone at the bar inside of the hotel, without any memory of how he arrived there, Macchiarella said in the papers.

New Orleans police are also investigating Sharper after a 25-year-old woman accused him of sexual assault in September, New Orleans police spokeswoman Cherie Guggenheim confirmed to CNN.

The woman told police she consumed a large amount of alcohol last September 23 and met Sharper at one of the bars she visited, a police report said.

Sharper allegedly took the victim to his apartment and raped her, according to the police report and to Guggenheim. The woman told police she didn’t consent to any sexual encounter. Sharper hasn’t been charged and the investigation is ongoing, according to the report and to Guggenheim.

In Arizona, Sharper accompanied two women to a nightclub in Scottsdale and then joined them at the apartment of one of the women, according to the police report from the incident.

While in the apartment, Sharper allegedly served one woman a shot and she then blacked out, wrote Macchiarella, who reviewed police reports from Arizona.

During the time Sharper and the women were in the apartment, a female roommate who shared the apartment joined the group. Sharper also allegedly served the roommate a drink in the form of a shot, and as the roommate became disoriented and went to the bathroom, she allegedly saw Sharper on top of one of the other women with his buttocks exposed, Macchiarella said.

The two women who had accompanied Sharper to the apartment later underwent sexual assault exams, Macchiarella wrote. A crime lab test later found zolpidem in the cup that Sharper allegedly used as he served shots, Macchiarella said.

After Sharper was arrested in Los Angeles last month, the NFL Network suspended him without pay, a spokesman said.

Sharper’s pro football career began as a second-round draft choice by the Green Bay Packers in 1997. After eight seasons with the Packers, including a loss to Denver in Super Bowl XXXII, he moved to the Minnesota Vikings for four years.

He signed as a free agent with the New Orleans Saints in 2009, which led to a Super Bowl ring that first season. Injuries hampered his second year with the Saints, which led to his retirement in 2011. The Los Angeles arrest report states Sharper is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 210 pounds.

NEWS: Mase Speaks On Almost Swinging On J. Cole, Says He’s The Only Artist To “Really” Get Paid By Diddy! [KingpinTV.net]

After years in limbo, Ma$e’s rap career looks to be heading in a positive direction with a new album titled, “Now We Even”, in the works and promising collaborations on deck. The former Bad Boy rapper recently clocked in for a sit down with Detroit’s Power 107.5, and, among other things, revealed he believes he was the only Bad Boy rapper to get his just due from Diddy and talked about an altercation that almost happened with J. Cole.

Since finally being released from his Bad Boy contract after 16 years in 2012, Betha has been spotted on occasion with Diddy, most recently at reuniting to perform at the Beats pre-Grammy party and linking for the opening of a new Revolt studio in Hollywood. “Sometimes we have a lot of issues, but I’m grown so I can respect the good that he’s done,” said Ma$e. Unlike several Bad Boy artists, Ma$e contends that his time on the label wasn’t all bad, monetarily. “I’m the only artist who got paid by Puff, like really, really, paid. Puff will tell you I get really, really, paid,” he stated.

While talking about the newer artists who are on his radar, the Harlem World rapper revealed he almost put hands on J. Cole for a perceived diss the NC rapper delivered in a song. “I like J. Cole when he’s not taking shots at me,” Ma$e said. “I saw him one day, I was gonna hit him, but I felt like I was too grown to be knocking light skin people out. But I really like him as an artist.” The former pastor said he chalked up the misunderstanding to the age difference between the rappers. “That’s a different generation,” he added. “In our generation you said something on a record, we see you it’s action. But when I saw him I was thinking, ‘Oh, he’s just a kid… he don’t get it.’”
