50 cent had a bone to pick with Steve Stoute, and lets just say he did that at the Knicks game this past weekend. Stoute is on a promo run for his documentary ‘Tanning of America’ which revolves around music, influence, hip hop history in more.
The beef started when Stoute came up to Angie’s show and ran down a list of who he considered to be the “most influential” artist of our time. When it came to 50 he said, “[50 Cent] hasn’t had a hit in a really long time. He has not made anything musically that has changed anything in a very really long time. I feel like he’s always gearing up for something that never happens.” Yikes!
50 clearly didn’t appreciate the negative commentary, so when he saw Stoute courtside at the Knicks game this past weekend he had words for Stoute. If you saw the pictures of the two at the game, then you know it looked serious. We wonder if they came to a resolution. We’re sure we will hear more about it sooner than later.

In 19 seasons in the NBA, Jason Kidd was one of the best point guards we’ve ever seen. The sure-fire Hall of Famer was a lethal force on both ends of the floor in his prime and even in his final seasons, he was able to help the Dallas Mavericks win a ring and the New York Knicks enjoy their best season in more than a decade. Now that he’s the coach of the Brooklyn Nets, Kidd doesn’t have many opportunities to get those competitive juices flowing on the court.
Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News tells us that in a recent practice, Kidd laced up the sneakers and had a “spirited exchange” by going head-to-head with Nets’ point guard Deron Williams. Perhaps it was just a way to see if Kidd still had it or maybe it was a way of teaching Williams a few things on the court in real-time.
Don’t let the tight suit fool you: Jason Kidd can still ball and still has those juices flowing.
During another disappointing and injury-riddled season for Deron Williams, Kidd stepped on the court and went head-to-head with the point guard in a spirited exchange at a recent practice, a source told the Daily News.
That’s one way to get through to the underachieving star: challenge him with Hall of Fame skills.
There are two ways of taking this story. One way is that it’s great Kidd is able to use those “Hall of Fame skills” to give Williams some elite knowledge of the game in a practice situation. That kind of learning can be invaluable and it may help Williams get his season back on track in a hurry. The other way of taking that is you have to be a little concerned that there was a “spirited exchange” between your 40-year old coach and a 29-year old franchise point guard who is still owed over $60 million through the 2015-16 season.
Granted, that’s due to Williams’ ankle troubles and there is little doubt he’d return to being an elite point guard worthy of the five-year, $98 million deal he signed with the Nets in 2012. But it can’t be an easy feeling to know your coach can challenge your franchise player and have it be described as “spirited.” Williams has struggled with his ankles and his game since coming to the Nets in a 2011 trade but did enjoy an All-Star season in 2011-12.

Former NFL star Darren Sharper was charged in California on Friday in the alleged drugging and rape of two women, one in October and the other last month, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said.
The five-time Pro Bowl player who became an NFL Network analyst is charged with two counts of rape by use of drugs, four counts of furnishing a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance, all felonies, the prosecutor’s office said.
Sharper, 38, who played defensive back for the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints during his 14-year career, appeared Friday in a Los Angeles County court, but his arraignment was postponed until Thursday, said spokesman Ricardo Santiago of the district attorney’s office.
Sharper was arrested January 17 and released on $200,000 bail, but prosecutors will seek next Thursday to raise his bail to $10 million, Santiago said.
The alleged controlled substances were morphine and zolpidem, another name for the prescription sleep aid Ambien.
On October 30, Sharper met two women at a West Hollywood nightclub — Bootsy Bellows on the Sunset Strip — and invited them to a party, authorities allege.
Sharper, who lives in Miami Beach, Florida, allegedly told them he had to stop by his Los Angeles hotel room to pick up something, and he invited them to the room. While there, he allegedly gave each woman a drink in the form of shot, and the women then passed out, prosecutors said.
The first woman woke up naked hours later as Sharper allegedly was sexually assaulting her, prosecutors said. The other woman awakened and “interrupted his actions,” according to court papers cited by prosecutors.
The two women gathered their belongings and left the hotel, authorities said.
On January 14, Sharper met two women at the same West Hollywood nightclub and also invited them to a party, prosecutors said.
A similar series of events allegedly unfolded: Sharper made a stop by his hotel room, invited the women in and allegedly offer them a shot, which caused them to pass out, prosecutors said.
When they woke up hours later on January 15, one woman believed she was sexually assaulted, and both women left the hotel and sought medical treatment, prosecutors said.
If convicted of the Los Angeles County charges, Sharper would face more than 30 years in state prison, prosecutors said.
A Los Angeles attorney representing Sharper told CNN on Friday that she was looking forward to “the true facts in this matter being revealed.
“And we are very hopeful that at the end of day that Mr. Sharper will be fully exonerated,” added attorney Blair Berk.
Los Angeles County prosecutors allege in court papers that Sharper also is suspected of rape in Tempe, Arizona; Las Vegas, Nevada; and New Orleans, Louisiana.
“I believe that the defendant is involved in seven acts of rape and eleven acts of furnishing a controlled substance” in those three communities and the Los Angeles area between last September and January, Los Angeles police investigator John Macchiarella stated in papers requesting an increase in Sharper’s bail to $10 million.
In Nevada, Sharper is a suspect in an ongoing rape investigation, Las Vegas police Officer Jose Hernandez told CNN.
“We do have an active and ongoing investigation and at the conclusion of this investigation, it will be submitted to the DA’s office for consideration of charges,” Hernandez said. He didn’t elaborate.
Macchiarella said in court papers that Sharper allegedly invited to his Las Vegas hotel room two women and a man he met in a Las Vegas nightclub. The three guests “blacked out” after Sharper allegedly served them shots, Macchiarella wrote.
One woman claimed she found injuries to her face when she woke up and alleged Sharper served her another unknown beverage and “the next thing she remembered was defendant Sharper sexually assaulting her,” Macchiarella stated in court papers.
The other woman awoke and believed she had been sexually assaulted, wrote Macchiarella, who reviewed the Nevada police reports.
The man awoke sitting alone at the bar inside of the hotel, without any memory of how he arrived there, Macchiarella said in the papers.
New Orleans police are also investigating Sharper after a 25-year-old woman accused him of sexual assault in September, New Orleans police spokeswoman Cherie Guggenheim confirmed to CNN.
The woman told police she consumed a large amount of alcohol last September 23 and met Sharper at one of the bars she visited, a police report said.
Sharper allegedly took the victim to his apartment and raped her, according to the police report and to Guggenheim. The woman told police she didn’t consent to any sexual encounter. Sharper hasn’t been charged and the investigation is ongoing, according to the report and to Guggenheim.
In Arizona, Sharper accompanied two women to a nightclub in Scottsdale and then joined them at the apartment of one of the women, according to the police report from the incident.
While in the apartment, Sharper allegedly served one woman a shot and she then blacked out, wrote Macchiarella, who reviewed police reports from Arizona.
During the time Sharper and the women were in the apartment, a female roommate who shared the apartment joined the group. Sharper also allegedly served the roommate a drink in the form of a shot, and as the roommate became disoriented and went to the bathroom, she allegedly saw Sharper on top of one of the other women with his buttocks exposed, Macchiarella said.
The two women who had accompanied Sharper to the apartment later underwent sexual assault exams, Macchiarella wrote. A crime lab test later found zolpidem in the cup that Sharper allegedly used as he served shots, Macchiarella said.
After Sharper was arrested in Los Angeles last month, the NFL Network suspended him without pay, a spokesman said.
Sharper’s pro football career began as a second-round draft choice by the Green Bay Packers in 1997. After eight seasons with the Packers, including a loss to Denver in Super Bowl XXXII, he moved to the Minnesota Vikings for four years.
He signed as a free agent with the New Orleans Saints in 2009, which led to a Super Bowl ring that first season. Injuries hampered his second year with the Saints, which led to his retirement in 2011. The Los Angeles arrest report states Sharper is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 210 pounds.

After years in limbo, Ma$e’s rap career looks to be heading in a positive direction with a new album titled, “Now We Even”, in the works and promising collaborations on deck. The former Bad Boy rapper recently clocked in for a sit down with Detroit’s Power 107.5, and, among other things, revealed he believes he was the only Bad Boy rapper to get his just due from Diddy and talked about an altercation that almost happened with J. Cole.
Since finally being released from his Bad Boy contract after 16 years in 2012, Betha has been spotted on occasion with Diddy, most recently at reuniting to perform at the Beats pre-Grammy party and linking for the opening of a new Revolt studio in Hollywood. “Sometimes we have a lot of issues, but I’m grown so I can respect the good that he’s done,” said Ma$e. Unlike several Bad Boy artists, Ma$e contends that his time on the label wasn’t all bad, monetarily. “I’m the only artist who got paid by Puff, like really, really, paid. Puff will tell you I get really, really, paid,” he stated.
While talking about the newer artists who are on his radar, the Harlem World rapper revealed he almost put hands on J. Cole for a perceived diss the NC rapper delivered in a song. “I like J. Cole when he’s not taking shots at me,” Ma$e said. “I saw him one day, I was gonna hit him, but I felt like I was too grown to be knocking light skin people out. But I really like him as an artist.” The former pastor said he chalked up the misunderstanding to the age difference between the rappers. “That’s a different generation,” he added. “In our generation you said something on a record, we see you it’s action. But when I saw him I was thinking, ‘Oh, he’s just a kid… he don’t get it.’”
Wiggins is currently 1st on the team in scoring (16.0 ppg), minutes played and 2nd in offensive rebounds.
Overall he has had a solid freshman campaign and is starting to hit full stride.

Bloggers note: This was inspired by a documentary I recently viewed, which chronicled how far not only women, but people will go for that perfect booty.
Dear Sir Mix Alot: LOOK WHAT YOU DONE DID!!!
Okay, so lets not blame the Grammy award winning rapper for this. The Seattle based rapper was only letting us know how much he loves a “Big Butt”
But if you examine the lyrics closely, there lies a message:
“I ain’t talkin’ ’bout Playboy / ‘Cause silicone parts are made for toys” and “So Cosmo says you’re fat / Well I ain’t down with that!”
Sir Mix Alot is actually telling curvy women to appreciate your body, because believe it or not, many people love your curves.
In a 1992 Interview, He had this to say:
“The song doesn’t just say I like large butts, you know? The song is talking about women who damn near kill themselves to try to look like these beanpole models that you see in Vogue magazine.”
Fast forward to 2014. Things have changed. Women are now going to great lengths to gain that curvy “perfect” posterior and it is poised to become a real health epidemic, much like how Anorexia and Bulimia were in the past.
What’s even different about this soon to be health issue, is that its not just women who are seeking a pretty derrière. The LGBT community as well are seeking ways for a booty fix.
Here is why it will become a major health issue if it hasn’t already:
The safest way to “enhance” your behind is to have a qualified medical professional perform a Buttock Augmentation also known as a Gluteoplasty
Gluteoplasty: (Greek gloutόs, rump + plassein, to shape) denotes the plastic surgery and the liposculpture procedures for the correction of the congenital, traumatic, and acquired defects and deformities of the buttocks and the anatomy of the gluteal region; and for the aesthetic enhancement (by augmentation or by reduction) of the contour of the buttocks. The corrective procedures for buttock augmentation and buttock repair include the surgical emplacement of a gluteal implant (buttock prosthesis); liposculpture (fat transfer and liposuction); and body contouring (surgery and liposculpture) to resolve the patient’s particular defect or deformity of the gluteal region.
By definition a Gluteoplasty was developed as a corrective medical procedure for defects caused by injury or genetics.
It has now been expanded for cosmetic purposes to “boost ones assets”
The cost can range from as low as $4000 to $22000 depending on the Doctor and the complexity of the procedure.
With costs so high for the average individual, people are seeking an alternative.
The underground market will get you that ass you need at a cheaper cost…..but it could cost you dearly in terms of your health or life.
Lets travel back to the early to mid 1900′s.
Back then, Prostitutes somehow figured out that sealant to hold transformer fluid used for electrical purposes could be injected into the human body for bigger breasts. This was the beginning of the underground enhancement market.
Of course these women suffered severe or fatal health problems, but the market was now in place.
In today’s underground market, for as little as $500 dollars you can cheaply get an enhancement done. The recovery time is short and within a few days you can go from “flat” to “phat”
Just one small problem. The chemicals used for an underground enhancement procedure do not react well internally with the human body. Common chemicals such as mineral oil, fix a flat, motor oil & caulking are injected via syringe to “fill the void.” The injection site is sealed with cheap glue. Over a period of time anywhere from 6 months to 10 years, these chemicals can cause eventual disfigurement, infection and even death. The person performing the procedure is not a licensed medical professional. By this person performing this procedure, they have committed a crime: Practicing medicine without a license.
The societal change which allows the acceptance of a fuller, plumper rear end have driven the average person to go to any means to have it. Pop culture has made it known that “phat” is better than “flat.” Nowadays you just don’t know if her ass was crafted in a clinic or in a backroom of a seedy industrial complex. The recent uptick of people seeking low cost butt procedures will soon catch up to them and will create an epidemic similar to the illegal breast implant craze which maimed chests everywhere. My advice to those who wish to make changes to their rear: Seek the advice of a qualified professional. Yes the costs are high, but $500 for a crooked hustler, with a dirty needle filled with fix a flat is not worth a disfigured rear end or your life.
“Never trust a big butt & a smile, that girl is poison” has taken on a new meaning……
Sometimes you really don’t have it made….
Special Ed, real name Edward K. Archer, was busted last week in Greensboro, NC on an outstanding warrant for missing a few (dozen or so) child support payments.
Hopefully 41-year-old former rapper will cut that cheque to his baby mama and get this all cleared up.
After rumors were swirling last week, CBS has confirmed that both Beyoncé and Jay Zwill be performing at the Grammy Awards this coming Sunday. Joining one of the best line-ups of recent years, which will feature unique performance pairings of today’s stars and music legends, the show is surely a must-watch for all music fans.
While there is no official confirmation on what Bey will be performing, most expect her to finally debut more material off her highly successful new album BEYONCE, specifically the smash single “Drunk In Love” with her hubby.
Beyoncé and Jay Z are nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Part II (On the Run)” off his album Magna Carta Holy Grail, at this year’s show . She last performed “If I Were a Boy” and “You Oughta Know” during the 2010 telecast.
Other performers include Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr; Daft Punk with Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams and Stevie Wonder; Kendrick Lamar with Imagine Dragons; Lorde; Katy Perry; Pink and Fun’s Nate Ruess; Robin Thicke and Chicago; Macklemore & Ryan Lewis; John Legend; Taylor Swift and more.
The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will air live from the Los Angeles Staples Center on Sunday, January 26th at 8pm/7c on CBS.
Now we know event planners try everything to get you to come out, but this is shameful. The slain civil rights leader deserves better than this.

Drake applauds the Raptor victory:
Producer Noah “40″ Shebib has called off the posthumous Aaliyah album he had been working on with Drake. In an interview with Vibe, Shebib said, “The world reacting to Drake’s involvement so negatively, I just wanted nothing to do with it. . . Ultimately, I wasn’t comfortable and didn’t like the stigma.”
Drake announced the album in August 2012, when he released “Enough Said,” a track that featured his voice alongside that of the R&B singer Aaliyah Haughton, who died in a plane crash at the age of 22 in 2001. A few days later, Aaliyah’s family distanced themselves from the album. Her brother, Rashad Haughton, said at the time, “There is no official album being released and supported by the Haughton family.”
Shortly after that, longtime Aaliyah collaborators Timbaland and Missy Elliott said that they were not participating in the album’s production. Instead, Blackground Records – a label run by Aaliyah’s uncle and cousin, Barry and Jomo Hankerson – announced the album would consist of 16 unreleased tracks and “fragments” that would be produced by Drake and Shebib. At the time, the label said the record would come out by the end of 2012.
But while those announcements made it sound like the album was conceived as a collaboration between Drake and Shebib, the producer is now saying that wasn’t the case. “Aaliyah’s label Blackground – the Hankersons, her uncle and cousin – came to me and said if she was around, she’d want you to do this project,” Shebib told Vibe. “I’ve been obsessed with Aaliyah forever, and I know Drake has his relationship with her. But that opportunity was mine. Drake said, ‘Can I do it with you?’ And I was like, ‘Of course, we’ll do it together.’”
The negative attention directed at the project, including Timbaland’s statement, ultimately turned the producer off the project. “That was a very sad experience for me,” Shebib said. “I was naïve to the politics surrounding Aaliyah’s legacy and a bit ignorant to Timbaland’s relationship and everybody else involved and how they’d feel. Tim said to me, ‘Don’t stop. Make the album.’ I think that was Tim taking the position of, ‘I’m not going to stop you. If you’re not going to do it, that’s your decision.’”
But Shebib said that the real reason he abandoned the project was that he received criticism from someone even closer to Aaliyah. “We released ['Enough Said'], but I was seven songs deep,” the producer said. “[Aaliyah's] mother saying, ‘I don’t want this out,’ was enough for me. I walked away very quickly.”
A month ago, Drake posted an Instagram video that featured Aaliyah music. But as the Guardian points out, Drake said “things went downhill with [the project]” in an interview at NYU’s Skirball Center last September.
Blackground has yet to comment on whether another producer will take on the project. But last June, an artist Drake is not close to, Chris Brown, released his own Aaliyah duet, “Don’t Think They Know” on his album X. The video featured an actor who looked a lot like Drake.
Police have identified the suspect who has surrendered in the shooting death of rapper Wiz Khalifa’s uncle in the parking lot of a Pittsburgh-area fast food restaurant.
Police say 17-year-old Jaron Young, of Penn Hills, is charged as an adult with criminal homicide in the Wednesday night shooting of 20-year-old Imani Porter.
Porter, of Pittsburgh, was parked in a Steak ‘n Shake parking lot in suburban Munhall when he was shot. He died at a hospital Thursday.
Allegheny County homicide detectives believe Porter planned to sell heroin to Young and another still-unidentified suspect when he was, instead, shot in the head.
Khalifa has tweeted that his uncle was “younger and more level-headed than all of us.”
Young denied involvement to reporters as he was taken into custody.

Chris Brown was back in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday for a hearing in his assault case from October. During the proceeding, prosecutors offered the singer a plea deal in which they would bump his misdemeanor assault charge down if he plead guilty to simple assault.
According to TMZ, though, Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, refused the deal because Geragos believes his client did nothing wrong and is waiting to see surveillance footage obtained by police of the alleged incident.
Brown and bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were arrested early on the morning of October 27 outside the W Hotel in D.C. after allegedly getting into a fight with another man. They were both charged with felony assault, though the charges were later reduced to misdemeanors.
Following the arrest, Brown’s probation in his 2009 assault case on former girlfriend Rihanna was revoked, though he was not sent to jail because, according to the Los Angeles Times, the judge in the case was pleased with his progress in 90 days of court-ordered rehab for anger management. Brown spent 16 days in a facility to deal with anger issues before leaving to complete his treatment on an outpatient basis.
Brown is reportedly due back in court on February 20 to set a tentative trial date in the case.

Bynum, who did not travel with the Cavaliers to Boston, missed out on about $111,000 when he missed one game check for conduct detrimental to the team.
He has not been invited to participate in team activities, which includes the Cavaliers’ Sunday home game against the Golden State Warriors.
Rumor now has it that his conduct which has been called “detrimental to the team” was due to an illicit affair with Cavs assistant Coach Jamahl Mosley’s wife.
Here is a photo of Kristina Anderson, the alleged participant:
Nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Stay tuned for more details on Bynum’s “paid leave” and possible trade from the team.
Jordan was joined during a ceremony at halftime of their game against the Jazz on Saturday night by Mugsy Bogues, Rex Chapman, Dell Curry and Kelly Tripucka, who were among the players for the original Charlotte franchise between 1988 and 2002.
The club also announced that the team colors would resemble the teal and purple worn by the original franchise and that Hugo the Hornet would return as the mascot.
The logo features a hornet in a vertical position with piercing eyes, expanded wings, raised antenae and a pointed stinger that protrudes from a torso that includes a basketball in the design. “Charlotte Hornets” is emblazoned horizontally across the image.
“As we looked at the old logo, we realized we had to refresh it but respect the legacy that was here,” said Fred Whitfield, Charlotte’s chief operating officer. “There’s more fierceness in the face of this Hornet. And they are very protective of their territory, which is what we want this team to be about.
“We developed a logo that physically depicted the characteristics and DNA of the type of team we want on the court.”
The original Charlotte Hornets moved to New Orleans after the 2001-02 season but decided to change the franchise nickname to Pelicans, the state bird of Louisiana, starting this season. Charlotte was awarded an expansion franchise again in 2004, when they became the Bobcats.
