NEWS: 2 Chainz Robbed At Gunpoint, Shots Fired! []

San Francisco police are investigating a brazen Sunday afternoon robbery involving rapper 2 Chainz. The G.O.O.D. Music hip hop star was reportedly robbed in broad daylight and shots were fired during the incident, reports TMZ.

A source with the SFPD told TMZ that they received a call about gunfire just after 4:30 pm PST and when they arrived on the scene the rapper did not want to fully cooperate. Chainz would only tell law enforcement that his wallet was stolen and he was fine.

According to the surveillance video from the scene, 2 Chainz appeared to be the intended target and was seen fleeing with his entourage like “cockroaches running from a flashlight.”

2 Chainz was in town to perform at the annual 106 KMEL Summer Jam concert in Oakland. He tweeted reaction to his performance at the show, but did not mention anything about the robbery.

The SFPD is currently going over video from the crime scene to identify suspects.

UPDATE – 9:17PM: TMZ initially reported that 2 Chainz was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco, but SF police spoke to and said a member of 2 Chainz’s entourage, and not the rapper himself, was the victim. The rapper’s group was approached by a man with a gun, who fired a shot into the air. Everyone fled the scene, but one poor bastard fell down and the perpetrator proceeded to “rob him of an unknown item.” The suspect is still at large, and cops say all involved in the investigation “are being very uncooperative.”
