So there I was randomly having a good time at a house party in Mississauga when I couldn’t help but notice this young ladies head wear. As a Hat aficionado, had to step to her and ask where she copped it.
She proceeded to show me the Instagram posts of the designer. I was hooked and contacted them to feature them on the blog site.
I look forward and I hope you do to for more innovative designs.

Bloggers note: This was inspired by a documentary I recently viewed, which chronicled how far not only women, but people will go for that perfect booty.
Dear Sir Mix Alot: LOOK WHAT YOU DONE DID!!!
Okay, so lets not blame the Grammy award winning rapper for this. The Seattle based rapper was only letting us know how much he loves a “Big Butt”
But if you examine the lyrics closely, there lies a message:
“I ain’t talkin’ ’bout Playboy / ‘Cause silicone parts are made for toys” and “So Cosmo says you’re fat / Well I ain’t down with that!”
Sir Mix Alot is actually telling curvy women to appreciate your body, because believe it or not, many people love your curves.
In a 1992 Interview, He had this to say:
“The song doesn’t just say I like large butts, you know? The song is talking about women who damn near kill themselves to try to look like these beanpole models that you see in Vogue magazine.”
Fast forward to 2014. Things have changed. Women are now going to great lengths to gain that curvy “perfect” posterior and it is poised to become a real health epidemic, much like how Anorexia and Bulimia were in the past.
What’s even different about this soon to be health issue, is that its not just women who are seeking a pretty derrière. The LGBT community as well are seeking ways for a booty fix.
Here is why it will become a major health issue if it hasn’t already:
The safest way to “enhance” your behind is to have a qualified medical professional perform a Buttock Augmentation also known as a Gluteoplasty
Gluteoplasty: (Greek gloutόs, rump + plassein, to shape) denotes the plastic surgery and the liposculpture procedures for the correction of the congenital, traumatic, and acquired defects and deformities of the buttocks and the anatomy of the gluteal region; and for the aesthetic enhancement (by augmentation or by reduction) of the contour of the buttocks. The corrective procedures for buttock augmentation and buttock repair include the surgical emplacement of a gluteal implant (buttock prosthesis); liposculpture (fat transfer and liposuction); and body contouring (surgery and liposculpture) to resolve the patient’s particular defect or deformity of the gluteal region.
By definition a Gluteoplasty was developed as a corrective medical procedure for defects caused by injury or genetics.
It has now been expanded for cosmetic purposes to “boost ones assets”
The cost can range from as low as $4000 to $22000 depending on the Doctor and the complexity of the procedure.
With costs so high for the average individual, people are seeking an alternative.
The underground market will get you that ass you need at a cheaper cost…..but it could cost you dearly in terms of your health or life.
Lets travel back to the early to mid 1900’s.
Back then, Prostitutes somehow figured out that sealant to hold transformer fluid used for electrical purposes could be injected into the human body for bigger breasts. This was the beginning of the underground enhancement market.
Of course these women suffered severe or fatal health problems, but the market was now in place.
In today’s underground market, for as little as $500 dollars you can cheaply get an enhancement done. The recovery time is short and within a few days you can go from “flat” to “phat”
Just one small problem. The chemicals used for an underground enhancement procedure do not react well internally with the human body. Common chemicals such as mineral oil, fix a flat, motor oil & caulking are injected via syringe to “fill the void.” The injection site is sealed with cheap glue. Over a period of time anywhere from 6 months to 10 years, these chemicals can cause eventual disfigurement, infection and even death. The person performing the procedure is not a licensed medical professional. By this person performing this procedure, they have committed a crime: Practicing medicine without a license.
The societal change which allows the acceptance of a fuller, plumper rear end have driven the average person to go to any means to have it. Pop culture has made it known that “phat” is better than “flat.” Nowadays you just don’t know if her ass was crafted in a clinic or in a backroom of a seedy industrial complex. The recent uptick of people seeking low cost butt procedures will soon catch up to them and will create an epidemic similar to the illegal breast implant craze which maimed chests everywhere. My advice to those who wish to make changes to their rear: Seek the advice of a qualified professional. Yes the costs are high, but $500 for a crooked hustler, with a dirty needle filled with fix a flat is not worth a disfigured rear end or your life.
“Never trust a big butt & a smile, that girl is poison” has taken on a new meaning……

Bynum, who did not travel with the Cavaliers to Boston, missed out on about $111,000 when he missed one game check for conduct detrimental to the team.
He has not been invited to participate in team activities, which includes the Cavaliers’ Sunday home game against the Golden State Warriors.
Rumor now has it that his conduct which has been called “detrimental to the team” was due to an illicit affair with Cavs assistant Coach Jamahl Mosley’s wife.
Here is a photo of Kristina Anderson, the alleged participant:
Nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Stay tuned for more details on Bynum’s “paid leave” and possible trade from the team.
Bloggers note: This is an insightful piece on how 2 successful businessmen looked to the future and the NBA didn’t
It’s 2013. The NBA is a global brand reaping huge revenues and profits. Gone are the days of tape delayed games and possible bankruptcy. Its kind of hard to say the league is struggling.
The latest CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) makes sure that revenue and profits for the league, owners and players is shared appropriately.
One small detail that most don’t know about.
The NBA is making two former ABA owners very rich. And they don’t even own a NBA team.
The current crop of NBA owners are clearly not thrilled. How did this happen? How did two brothers who were very successful in their own right (textiles) make an estimated 300 million from the NBA since 1976? Quite simple. Ozzie & Dan Silna looked forward to the future and the NBA as a business didn’t
For those who are unaware of what the ABA was here is a quick history lesson.
The original ABA was founded in 1967 to compete with the NBA. The ABA distinguished itself from the NBA with a more “street ball” style of play. The game ball was a colorful red, white and blue; There was a three-point field goal arc not used in the NBA back then; A 30-second shot clock for longer offensive possessions; The creation of the now famous dunk contest; Halftime shows were far more entertaining.
Fans loved the style of the ABA, but the league didn’t have the deep pockets of its well established counter part and in 1976 the NBA absorbed the ABA in a merger.
According to business insider, here is where the NBA made a huge blunder:
When the NBA and ABA merged in 1976, four of the remaining six ABA teams were absorbed by the NBA. The NBA offered the other two teams a $3 million settlement, an amount that was accepted by the owner of the Kentucky Colonels. The owners of the Spirits of St. Louis, brothers Ozzie and Daniel Silna, turned down the offer.
Instead, the Silna brothers negotiated a deal that would pay them one-seventh of the “visual media” rights for each of the other four ABA teams “in perpetuity.”
In other words, for the past 37 years, the brothers and their lawyer (who receives 10% of the proceeds) have received the equivalent of four-sevenths of a share of the NBA’s television contract each year.
The NBA currently receives a combined $930 million in television broadcast revenue each year. With 30 teams in the NBA now, the Silna brothers receive approximately 1.9% of the television revenue, or about $17.7 million each year.
A recent judge’s ruling also granted the Silna brothers a share of all Internet revenue.
According to Broussard, the NBA has tried unsuccessfully to negotiate out of the deal in the past. It is unclear if they will be successful this time, but it is easy to see why they would be eager to settle
Now to be fair, nobody knew the NBA would become the cash cow that it is today. The league was on life support until some guys named Magic and Bird entered the league. When this other guy named Jordan took the league to new heights the revenue streamed in.
Thanks to forward thinking and shrewd negotiations the Silna brothers, who were rumored to have lost millions in the Bernie Madoff ponzi scheme, continue to receive a healthy cheque which in time has likely covered their losses and will keep them & their family wealthy for generations to come
It has seemed that for an eternity, The LA Lakers have owned the city of Angels. The 16 championships. The number of legends that played for the storied franchise such as Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Gail Goodrich, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar….Well you get the picture.
Only the Boston Celtics have raised more. The Lakers, however have entered an unfamiliar territory that they are generally not accustomed to: Rebuilding
After the summer of 2013 free agency, Dwight Howard left to join the Houston Rockets, leaving the Lakers with two past their prime superstars in Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash. Nash is injury prone at this stage of his career. Kobe Bryant suffered a devastating Achilles injury and may not return to form
The other NBA team in Los Angeles meanwhile is experiencing a renaissance. After years of being one of the most laughing stocks in sports, things have changed. In case you’re wondering the name of the other basketball franchise in Los Angeles is known as the LA Clippers.
The clippers own arguably the best point guard in the NBA (Chris Paul), A coach with a Larry O’Brien championship (Doc Rivers) an ultra athletic front court (Deandre Jordan, Blake Griffin) and a supporting cast of role players and long range shooters. The time is now for the Clippers to take centre stage
Doc Rivers recently sent a message that there is a “new” team in town. He made an executive decision to cover up the Lakers’ championship banners and retired jersey numbers at Staples during a recent preseason game replacing them with giant posters of players Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Jamal Crawford, Matt Barnes, Jared Dudley and J.J. Redick which raised the ire of one of the newer Lakers, shooting guard Nick Young
“He can do that?” Young said “For real? That’s disrespectful. We got to talk to Doc. He can’t have that. We got to do something about that.”
“That’s a lot of pull y’all are giving Doc,” Young said, somewhat facetiously. “I think he shouldn’t come in and have so much pull like that. He’s got to earn his keep.”
It’s quite obvious that the Lakers are bleeding in the Pacific Ocean and the Clippers are the Great white Shark who smell blood in the water and are going after their prey. The Lakers as assembled have no shot of winning a championship. They may not even make the playoffs. The Clippers will be in the playoffs, it’s just a matter of what seed.
Now is the perfect time to go for the kill. The Clippers should use this and every opportunity going forward to raise their profile and brand in L.A. or even go as for as burying the Lakers into the proverbial corner that they (The Clippers) once existed in.
With the lakeshow’s depleted roster, shaky management and diminishing prestige the time is now for the Clippers……The only thing the Lakers have going forward is cap space.
Attack with no mercy.
Nowadays the struggle is so real its scary……..

Adult film sets throughout the Los Angeles area have shut down indefinitely after a porn actress tested positive for HIV, the trade association for the industry said on Thursday.
The actress, who works under the name Cameron Bay, has contracted the virus that causes AIDS, the Free Speech Coalition said in a press release.
The trade group said film producers called a moratorium on production late on Wednesday and that filming would not resume until all of Bay’s partners are notified and tested.
The incident comes amid continued opposition on the part of many companies that produce adult films to a recently enacted law in Los Angeles County that requires porn actors to use condoms on the set.
The multibillion-dollar adult film industry is centered in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.
Michael Weinstein, head of the Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation and a backer of the condom law, said he suspects that Bay contracted the virus on a set.
Last month, he said, the actress tested negative for HIV, and this month, she tested positive. In one film that she worked on between the tests, it appears that condoms were not used, Weinstein said.
“It’s a tragedy for her,” he said. “Obviously she was infected by someone.”
The industry group said there was “no evidence whatsoever” that Bay was infected on a set, or that others were exposed to the virus while performing sex scenes with her.
Bay said she planned to cooperate with public health officials as they try to track down her sex partners to find out who might have infected her, and whether she infected anyone.
“As difficult as this news is for me today, I am hopeful that no other performers have been affected,” Bay said in a statement. “I plan on doing everything possible to assist the medical professionals and my fellow performers.”
Rapper 2 Chainz was one of 11 people arrested after refusing to get off a tour bus for almost nine hours following a traffic stop in Oklahoma City early Thursday morning, police said.
2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was arrested Thursday morning along with 10 other people on a charge of obstructing a police officer, Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said. The 35-year-old rapper performed with Lil Wayne and T.I. in Oklahoma City on Wednesday night.
Police stopped the tour bus around midnight near Interstate 40 because of an illegal taillight and noticed drug use, though Wardlow would not go into specifics.
The driver was arrested, “but as he got off the bus, the interior door shut and locked and obviously our officers could not get in there,” she said.
The remaining people on the bus refused to leave the vehicle, so officers towed it to a nearby police training facility about four miles away, Wardlow said.
Investigators obtained a warrant and all 11 people came off the bus around 9 a.m., Wardlow said. They were arrested on the obstruction charge and booked into Oklahoma County Jail on Thursday afternoon.
Wardlow also said investigators found narcotics on the bus, but don’t know to whom those belonged. She said more charges could be filed later.
The Atlanta-based rapper was a member of the rap duo Playaz Circle before going solo. His 2012 debut album, Based on a T.R.U. Story, topped the Billboard charts. His new album, B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time, is set to be released next month.
Earlier this year, 2 Chainz was acquitted of marijuana charges he faced after a traffic stop on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
With that being said, we also cannot ignore the report that is out there.
TMZ, an organization that is admittedly more interested in Odom’s relationship with Khloe Kardashian than they are with his NBA career, is reporting that Odom’s “hardcore drug abuse” is the reason that the marriage between Odom and Kardashian is “in crisis.”
From TMZ’s report:
“The marriage of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom is in crisis, and TMZ has learned … the core reason is hardcore drug abuse.
Multiple sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Lamar has had a problem for 2 years. It got so bad, last August Khloe pressured Lamar to go to rehab. Lamar went to a facility in San Diego, but he was so resistant Khloe hired private investigators to secretly stand guard at the rehab place to make sure he didn’t leave. The P.I.s stood guard 24/7.
We’re told the situation has become dire. Sources tell us … within the last 2 days, the entire family staged an intervention, trying to convince Lamar to go back to rehab, but he wouldn’t have any of it.”
These are obviously serious allegations, especially where Odom’s NBA career is concerned. But again, he hasn’t failed an NBA drug test, so no matter how credible the sources, it’s all just hearsay to a certain extent.
In case you’re curious, here’s how the league’s drug testing program is laid out, via Larry Coon’s CBA FAQ:
“Testing falls into two categories: reasonable cause and random. Reasonable cause testing occurs when the league or players association provides the program’s independent expert with information about a player’s use, possession or distribution of prohibited substances, and the expert believes that reasonable cause exists to order testing. If reasonable cause is found to exist, the player can be tested without notice up to four times in a six week period. Players can be subjected to random testing up to four times during a season and up to two times during an offseason (offseason testing is conducted for SPEDs and diuretics only).”
To summarize, players are tested up to six times per year, although the offseason tests are only looking for steroids, masking agents, or performance-enhancing drugs.
Odom is still a free agent, and these allegations may be the primary reason why if the teams that are interested are aware of these alleged issues. The Clippers were the team most recently reported as having interest.
XXL celebrates a very special issue this month: It’s the magazine’s 150th and 16th anniversary issue and Drake’s first solo cover. Yeah, it’s a big deal, and this is a great issue. It’s been 16 years since Jay Z and Master P both graced split covers of the first XXL. This month’s cover subject, Drake, was just 10 years old. Fast forward to 2013 and he’s one of the biggest rappers in hip-hop. And he’s currently prepping the release of his in-demand third album, Nothing Was The Same (Young Money/Cash Money/Universal) for September 17.
Discussing everything from his new album and his relationships with other rappers and celebrities to his return to acting and his overall success, the Toronto MC was open and honest with writer Thomas Golianopoulos during their two-hour interview. Here are a few quotes from the exclusive interview.
ON THE NEW ALBUM
I remember coming into this year thinking, “How am I going to cut through all these people and shine?” I’ve never been part of a year when so many legends are dropping projects. How am I going to be seen? I’m going to be like the kid waving in the background in the photo with all of his tall relatives. And, I guess, those were my initial thoughts, and not to say that I haven’t enjoyed some of the stuff that has come out this year, but it didn’t pan out the way I thought it was going to. I think I am going for it, to really establish what are murmurs or things being said quietly, “Um, I think that Drake might actually…” On September 17th I want people to be like, “Oh, we were right.”
ON HIS IMAGE
Do I think that if I didn’t have, for lack of a better term, a unique look about me, if I was from somewhere in America and if I hadn’t been on a kids TV show [Degrassi: The Next Generation], would I be as famous? I don’t know, man. Honestly, I don’t think so. I was just some young kid on a TV show. And I haven’t become anything else while I’ve been in this position. It’s not like I got here and was like, “Oh, got to switch up my image.” I don’t wake up nervous. I feel like maybe a lot of these guys do. How old are you, really? What is your background, really? What have you really done in the drug game, in the thug game?
ON THE COMPETITION
It’s tough for me. That’s a guy I can’t pretend not to like. He’s the guy to me, in a lot of ways. That’s Kanye West. But I’m also here to be the best. I’m here to surpass. I’m here to outdo. I’m ready for whatever with anybody.
ON HIS SUCCESS
I get Jewish people coming up to me proud like, “Mazel Tov, bro. Come to my house for Shabbat dinner.”
I don’t even know who that is doing that or what that’s about. If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing. It’s obviously a behavioral pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going.
Also in the magazine this month, XXL honors the 150th issue with the ultimate list of the 150 most important people, places and things in hip-hop during the XXL era. And keeping with the birthday theme, many important albums are celebrating special anniversaries this year. In honor of those critically acclaimed LPs, XXL had some of today’s most popular MCs review them. Kendrick Lamar talks Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle, which turns 20 this year. Nas looks back at Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill, which turns 15. And B.o.B. discusses the OutKast decade-old opus,Speakerboxxx/The Love Below plus many more in the magazine and on XXLMag.com.
The 150th and 16th anniversary issue of XXL is jam-packed with good stuff and hits stands August 20.
Things are just not looking good for Lamar…..

According to the International Design Times, Tim Duncan’s estranged wife Amy — whom he is expected to eventually divorce — says the reason for the couple’s split is due to Duncan cheating on her with another man.
During the first two years of Duncan’s marriage, multiple sources indicate that the unnamed man stayed with the couple and when the gentleman eventually moved out, Duncan purchased an apartment for him to move into. Tim Duncan also reportedly became friends with this person while he was a student at Wake Forest.
Though his estranged wife is attempting to slap all the wrongdoings of their marriage on the San Antonio Spurs star, other sources note that Amy was sleeping around with her trainer while Duncan was spending time with the aforementioned male.
“Amy treated Tim like a b*tch throughout their marriage because she knew he was [sleeping with] his BFF,” one person told The Urban Daily. “Tim knows Amy was cheating on him but he’s willing to give her whatever she wants, because he doesn’t want Amy to tell the world that he’s bisexual.”
Though there is no hardcore evidence proving that Tim Duncan cheated on his wife Amy with another man, don’t expect this story to disappear for the simple fact that stories focusing on the personal lives of athletes and celebrities continue to grab hold of the internet and social media platforms.
A lawsuit filed against Chris Brown and his rap rival Drake after their notorious nightclub brawl last year has been thrown out of court.
The pair’s entourages came to blows in New York City’s W.i.P venue in June last year after an argument allegedly erupted over Rihanna, who has dated both of the stars.
Following the altercation, bosses at Entertainment Enterprises, Ltd., who own a large stake in Greenhouse, a club located in the same building, filed a $16 million lawsuit against the pair, alleging their reputation was ruined by the media fallout.
However a judge has disagreed with their claims and ruled the stars have no duty to behave in the club, especially as they were not even in the nightspot when the fight broke out. The judge also insisted altercations in nightclubs are common, and bosses can’t sue every time one occurs.
Last year, Drake filed legal papers urging the case’s presiding judge to toss out the suit, claiming the Greenhouse already had a bad reputation and its liquor licence was once suspended due to a “string of violent incidents”.
Back in April, Michael Jordan married fiancee Yviette Prieto, which was noteworthy largely because of Jordan’s rumored playboy lifestyle. One of those longtime rumors was that Jordan got a vasectomy after the dissolution of his marriage with his first wife, Juanita Vanoy. Well, Jordan has three adult children, but apparently he may not be done raising kids — and we’re not talking about the young Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets) roster. Jordan has reversed his vasectomy because Prieto wants to have children, according to Gossip Extra. “That was part of the deal of them getting married,” said a Gossip Extra source. “Yvette was pretty adamant about having children with Mike. He had the vasectomy as his first marriage ended.” For the record, Jordan’s spokesperson has already denied Jordan ever had a vasectomy in the first place, according to Gossip Extra. However, the spokesperson would not comment on the couple’s future plans for a family.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stevie Wonder says he won’t perform again in Florida until the state abolishes its Stand Your Ground gun law, which permits using deadly force against those who pose a risk of killing or seriously injuring someone. He made the announcement during a concert Sunday in Quebec City, a day after the acquittal of George Zimmerman.
Zimmerman was acquitted in the Feb. 26, 2012, shooting death of teen Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla. The outcome has sparked protests nationwide and an outpouring of outrage on social media. Wonder urged his fans to support his boycott.
“The truth is that — for those of you who’ve lost in the battle for justice, wherever that fits in any part of the world — we can’t bring them back,” he said. “What we can do is we can let our voices be heard. And we can vote in our various countries throughout the world for change and equality for everybody. That’s what I know we can do.”

CHICAGO (AP) — A legal battle that NBA star Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife have been fighting for years has a new chapter.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Siohvaughn Funches-Wade filed a lawsuit Tuesday alleging that Wade is violating the terms of a 2008 agreement that requires his endorsement deals be fully deposited into a joint account they both control.
According to the paper, the lawsuit claims a total of $2 million in damages from Wade, four companies involved in endorsement deals, a financial adviser and an attorney.
James Pritikin, Wade’s attorney, said the lawsuit was without merit and that he expected it to be thrown out of court. He also said that the lawsuit “mischaracterizes” the terms of the agreement involving the joint account but declined to comment further.
The lawsuit comes just weeks after Wade’s Miami Heat won the NBA championship series against the San Antonio Spurs — the kind of event that often results in more endorsement opportunities for professional athletes.
It also follows a messy divorce and custody battle that played out in Chicago courtrooms between Wade, a Chicago-area native, and his ex-wife for about five years. In 2010, Wade was granted a divorce and the next year he was awarded sole custody of the couple’s two sons.
Last year, Funches-Wade was arrested on misdemeanor charges of attempted child abduction, unlawful visitation interference and obstruction of a peace officer after an incident related to visitation. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office said Wednesday that all the charges except obstruction of a peace officer have been dismissed. The office said Funches-Wade is scheduled to appear in court on that charge in September.

As Jay-Z continues to receive critical acclaim for “MCHG” his former friend and business partner has more than 99 problems. Dame Dash is the latest hip-hop celebrity to draw the direct attention of the IRS, collecting a $2.8 million tax lien, according to a report by TMZ.
As previously reported, Dame detailed his financial woes in a five-page court document back in May saying he was in debt and close to losing his suburban Carmel, New York home. It looks like things will get worse before they get better for the Roc-A-Fella co-founder. The IRS has filed documents claiming Dame also owes $2.8 million for unpaid taxes from 2005 and 2011.
